Vacancy - Permanent Full time or 0.8 FTTE teacher

Omihi School is a primary school from year 1-8 situated in the beautiful North Canterbury, 15 minutes north of Amberley. We have a roll of 42 students and are looking for someone to join our ‘One Big Whānau’. 

We are seeking a kaiako to join our dedicated and talented team. Our staff have strong relationships with our tamariki and hold high expectations of themselves and their students. Our teachers are committed to being culturally responsive and make this a priority within their professional growth. 

A sound knowledge of all curriculum areas is essential, in particular mathematics and literacy. Our kura has adopted a structured literacy approach to teaching literacy.  While it is not essential for the applicant to be trained in this area, some prior knowledge around this would be beneficial. 

Of benefit are experience, interest or strengths in the following areas; 

• Literacy

• PE/Sports
